BIO

Growing up, Robert was an avid skateboarder and snowboarding enthusiast. He never skied until one month after his car accident, when he acquired his impairment; his first time skiing was at a Heli Ski camp in Alaska. At this camp, he met Para Alpine skiers Andrew Kurka, Tyler Walker, and Ravi Drugan, and his Paralympic dream began. Since then, Robert has become well known in the ski world as the first sitskier to tackle the A-Z chutes at Big Sky, MT, which he regards as his most memorable sporting moment. Enigl has an eye for the technical side of things and enjoys metal fabrication, 3D printing, etc, so it makes sense that he says his favorite part of the sport is learning and applying the science behind improving his skiing. He describes himself as ambitious, extroverted, and funny, and he enjoys freeskiing, flyfishing, hunting, rafting, kayaking, offroading, being in the mountains, and camping with family when not racing.
