Olympian Jeremy Nobis Passes Away at 52

Former U.S. Alpine Ski Team athlete and Olympian Jeremy Nobis passed away Wednesday morning, April 19, 2023 in Cedar City, Utah at the age of 52. Nobis was a storied ski racer. He attended Vermont’s Green Mountain Valley School and made the U.S. Alpine Ski Team in the late 1980s. He won two World Junior Championships at 1988 and 1989, before competing in tech events on the World Cup circuit through 1995. 2023-24 U.S. Nordic Combined Team & U.S. Ski Jumping Team Nominations Announced

Park City, Utah (May 22, 2023) – U.S. Ski & Snowboard has announced its U.S. Ski Jumping Team and U.S. Nordic Combined Team for the 2023-24 competition season, as well as the hiring of Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined Sport Director Anders Johnson. Stifel U.S. Cross Country Ski Team Athlete McCabe Honored with 2023 Gold Rush Award

Stifel U.S. Cross Country Ski Team athlete Novie McCabe has been honored with the 2023 Gold Rush Award. The U.S. NOW Gold Rush Award is given annually to a Nordic Olympic woman who has represented the U.S. in cross country skiing and has demonstrated outstanding qualities of grit and grace throughout the year.

Hunter Wonders, an athlete on the Stifel U.S. Cross Country Ski Team has formally announced his retirement from World Cup ski racing. 

Snowboardcross Olympic Bronze Medalist Deibold Announces Retirement

2014 Olympic bronze medalist Alex Deibold has announced his retirement from competitive snowboardcross.

A native Vermonter, 36-year-old Deibold has been snowboarding since the age of four. He attended Stratton Mountain School with fellow teammate Lindsey Jacobellis, and U.S. Snowboard Team halfpipe alums Danny Davis and Louie Vito.
