
Snowboard Level 100 and 200 Coach Certification
The Snowboard Coach Certification program consists of 4 levels of certification. Each level of the program builds on the knowledge and experience gained in the prior level. The curriculum is specifically designed to build a coaches knowledge, skills, and abilities in coaching athletes at all levels of development and competition.
- Level 100 is for the new coach or a coach working with younger developing athletes in Phases 1 and 2 of the US Snowboard Training System. The curriculum is designed to give coaches a solid foundation in the fundamentals of snowboarding along with a base of knowledge in the art and science of coaching young athletes.
- Level 200 is for the experienced coach working with athletes in Phases 3, 4 and 5 of the US Snowboard Training Systems. The focus of Level 200 is on coaching competitive athletes in entry-level events up to National level competitions.
Most developing and entry-level athletes participate and compete in USASA events throughout the country. Through a partnership between USASA and U.S. Ski & Snowboard, all Level 100 and Level 200 programs are managed by USASA.
