ALTA BADIA, Italy (Dec. 19) - Audi FIS Alpine World Cup giant slalom leader Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) was 10th in slalom Monday as Austrian rival and good friend Marcel Hirscher won to move into the World Cup slalom and overall lead. It was Ligety's second slalom top 10 of the season and lands him third in the overall standings going into a Dec. 21 night slalom in Flachau, Austria.

ASPEN, CO (Nov. 27) - Sixteen-year-old Mikaela Shiffrin (Eagle-Vail, CO) was calm, cool and collected as the notched a top-10 finish in only her second Audi FIS Alpine World Cup slalom in Sunday's Nature Valley Aspen Winternational. Shiffrin, who has yet to get her drivers' licence, turned a bib 37 start into a stunning eighth place finish and immediately began thanking young fans in the crowd for coming to see her and the U.S. Ski Team race in Aspen. KVITFJELL, Norway (March 4) - Olympic bronze medalist Andrew Weibrecht (Lake Placid, NY) rallied a bib one start into a trip to the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup Finals Sunday after finishing 23rd. It was a Norwegian 1-2 finish as Kjetil Jansrud and Aksel Lund Svindal took the top two spots in the Kvitfjell super G. Only the top 25 racers in each discipline qualify for the March 11-18 finals to be held in Schladming, Austria. Weibrecht matched his finish in the standings.

KVITFJELL, Norway (March 2) - The Audi FIS Alpine World Cup tour produced a rare double win Friday as Austrian Klaus Kroell tied Beat Feuz of Switzerland for a super G win in Kvitfjell. The victory pushed Feuz passed Austrian Marcel Hirscher, who did not compete, for the overall tour lead by five points. Norwegian Aksel Lund Svindal was fifth to retain his lead in the super G standings, while Andrew Weibrecht (Lake Placid, NY) posted the top U.S. result with 28th.
