KITZBUEHEL, Austria (Jan. 25) – Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) continued to show his speed in super G with an impressive sixth place finish to open the 73rd Hahnenkamm race weekend in storied Kitzubuehel. Ligety remained third in the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup overall standings behind race winner Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway and overall leader Marcel Hirscher of Austria, who will not race in Kitzbuehel until Sunday's slalom. Universal Sports Network will broadcast the race at 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Mikaela Shiffrin of the Stifel U.S. Alpine Ski Team wrapped up the 2022-23 season in style, winning her 88th World Cup at the World Cup Finals giant slalom in Soldeu, Andorra. It was her 138th career podium and her 21st giant slalom win, breaking two women’s records. She also received her second career giant slalom crystal globe, marking her the most successful skier in the discipline, along with her fifth overall crystal globe, the biggest prize in ski racing.
VAL D'ISERE, France (Dec. 15) - David Chodounsky (Crested Butte, CO) produced a courageous final run Sunday to post a career-best Audi FIS Alpine World Cup slalom with seventh in Val d'Isere. The 2007 NCAA overall champion for alpine skiing was 14th after the opening run and produced the fourth-fastest final run time to jump seven more slots on the notoriously steep and icy Face de Belvarde. Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) and Bode Miller (Franconia, NH) fell victim to the steeps with Ligety missing the top-30 final and Miller skiing out.

PARK CITY, UT (May 9, 2017) – New Hampshire ski racing official Ted Sutton (Lincoln, NH) has been named as the recipient of the 2017 Julius Blegen Award recognizing lifetime service to ski and snowboard competition. The Blegen Award, the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association's highest service honor, will be presented Thursday, May 14 in Park City during the annual USSA Congress.
Lindsey Vonn gained the headlines again last weekend with two more Audi FIS World Cup titles, including her fifth straight downhill crown. While Vonn's streak matched that of the great Annemarie Moser-Proell, an equally notable story was unfolding behind her with four U.S. women in the top 10.
