BANSKO, Bulgaria (Mar. 1, 2015)—After two days of delays and canceled races, the race organizers at Bansko were determined to complete the Audi FIS Ski World Cup alpine combined. But the race was marred by tough snow and fog in the super G portion, which caused many racers trouble. Julia Mancuso (Squaw Valley, CA) was the top American finisher in 12th place. Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO) did not start the slalom run.

SOELDEN/OBERGURGL-HOCHGURGL, Austria (Oct. 14) – The Austrian resorts of Soelden and Obergurgl-Hochgurgl were announced as a U.S. Ski Team partner Friday afternoon during a special event in downtown Innsbruck that featured Olympic champions Bode Miller (Franconia, NH), Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO), Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) and Julia Mancuso (Squaw Valley, CA).

PORTILLO, Chile (Sept. 11) – The speed training season is officially underway in South America as the women's U.S. Ski Team, including Olympic gold medalists Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO) and Julia Mancuso (Squaw Valley, CA), begin their second week in Portillo.

PARK CITY, UT (October 4, 2016) – The U.S. Ski Team announces its alpine coaching staff for the 2016-17 season, which kicks off in Soelden, Austria on October 22-23 and also features four domestic Audi FIS Ski World Cup events, highlighted by World Cup Finals in Aspen.  

COPPER MOUNTAIN, CO (Oct. 1) - Snowmaking began Tuesday morning on the U.S. Ski Team Speed Center at Copper Mountain in preparation for the U.S. Alpine Ski Team to begin their road to Sochi training on Colorado snow. The full team of Olympic hopefuls, including Ted Ligety (Park City, UT), Bode Miller (Franconia, NH), Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO) and Mikaela Shiffrin (Eagle-Vail, CO) will be introduced Nov. 8 during Nature Valley First Tracks Alpine Team Naming - a free all American pep-rally open to the public to kick off the ski and snowboard season.

PARK CITY, UT (May 10) – High performance, conditioning and teamwork will be the focus of the staff assembled by men's alpine Head Coach Sasha Rearick for the 2014 Audi FIS Alpine World Cup and Sochi Olympic Winter Games season. Notable additions include the addition of a World Cup Multi Team comprised of overall skiers Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) and Bode Miller (Franconia, NH) that will be led by veteran coach Forest Carey, the addition of two new coaches to the men's speed program and a combined World Cup technical and World Cup B training group led by Bernd Brunner.

VAIL, CO (Nov. 15) – Olympic gold medalists Bode Miller, Lindsey Vonn, Julia Mancuso and Ted Ligety highlight a powerhouse team of 48 athletes named to the 2013 U.S. Alpine Ski Team during Nature Valley First Tracks. Hundreds of fans packed into Arrabelle Square to welcome the team during a public celebration that opened the 50^th season of skiing at the historic alpine resort that will host the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships.

PARK CITY, UT (June 24) – The successful athletic leadership that helped guide one of the most successful seasons in women's alpine history will continue to direct the 2014 U.S. Alpine Ski Team with the philosophy that idleness is not an option. Head Coach Alex Hoedlmoser and speed Head Coach Chip White return for their 17th seasons with the U.S. Ski Team, while Roland Pfeifer will continue at the helm of the technical program.

The U.S. Ski Team has announced its nominations for the 2015-16 season. Nominations include those active athletes who qualified based on published selection criteria in the prior season.

Each athlete accepting the nomination to U.S. Ski Team receives a high level of world class program support, along with access to the USSA Center of Excellence, as well as athletic benefits including an elite coaching, sport science, sports medicine and high performance staff, and education opportunities.

An official team announcement will be made in the fall.
