AVON, CO (Nov. 17, 2016) – After meeting with the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) and Beaver Creek’s event organizing committee, the International Ski Federation (FIS) has determined that due to unseasonably warm weather, the 2016 Audi Birds of Prey FIS World Cup at Beaver Creek, CO will be canceled. The FIS will make an official announcement on Friday, Nov. 18.

GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (Feb. 23) - Veteran Marco Sullivan (Squaw Valley, CA) was 19th to lead the U.S. Ski Team in a shortened Audi FIS Alpine World Cup downhill Saturday in Germany as Birds of Prey downhill champion Christof Innerhofer of Italy claimed his third win of the season. The race course was shortened after heavy snow covered the Kandahar course over night, making track preparation of the upper section difficult.
SCHLADMING, Austria (Feb. 12) - A near capacity crowd was on hand Tuesday night to cheer the host country of Austria to victory in the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships Team Event. The powerhouse slalom skiing Swedes edged the U.S. Ski Team in the quarter final and went on to earn the silver medal with Germany in bronze. David Chodounsky (Crested Butte, CO), who was strong in the Moscow City Event before World Championships, led the U.S. squad by winning all of his duels.

WENGEN, Switzerland (Jan. 19) - Marco Sullivan (Squaw Valley, CA) led the U.S. Ski Team Saturday finishing 13th in the fabled Lauberhorn, one of the most punishing downhills on the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup. KRANJSKA GORA, Slovenia (March 10) - Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) posted a staggering 1.61 second victory in Saturday's giant slalom for the fourth win of his career in Kranjska Gora. It was the largest margin of victory for the men's Audi FIS Alpine World Cup this season and the biggest in recent history. It also kept Ligety, a three-time World Cup giant slalom champion, mathematically in the hunt for a fourth title as giant slalom leader Marcel Hirscher of Austria finished third.
ROCCARASO, Italy (March 9) - Ryan Cochran-Siegle (Starksboro, VT) added one more gold to the "Skiing Cochran's" shelf with victory in the men's combined to close the 2012 FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships. The 19-year-old Vermonter, who won the downhill to open the week, finished 28th in giant slalom and 10th in slalom Friday to secure the title with the most points across the three disciplines.
PARK CITY, UT (Dec. 16) - The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) has named Tools4Boards an official competition supplier of ski and snowboard tuning tools and supplies. Tools4Boards will supply a comprehensive line of specialty products to the alpine, freestyle, freeskiing, cross country and nordic combined teams. BEAVER CREEK, CO (Dec. 3) - On a snowy, blustery day in Beaver Creek, Olympic bronze medalist Andrew Weibrecht (Lake Placid, NY) continued his comeback from injury last year to put down a career best top 10 World Cup run in the Audi FIS Birds of Prey super G. Sandro Viletta of Switzerland came out of start 30 to take the win ahead of Norway's Aksel Lund Svindal. Friday's downhill winner Bode Miller (Franconia, NH) was 21st after a big mistake at the top took him out of contention.
