SCHLADMING, Austria (Feb. 16) - Teen Mikaela Shiffrin (Eagle-Vail, CO) skied a powerful, aggressive second run to come from behind to win gold in slalom at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Schladming. Third after the first run, Shiffrin overcame a .18 lead by Sweden's Frida Hansdotter who took bronze. Austria's Michaela Kirchgasser took silver. It was the first World Championship medal of their careers for each of the medalists.

SCHLADMING, Austria (Feb. 15) - Defending World Champion Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) rewrote the history books, becoming the first man in 45 years to win three gold at a World Championships. Ligety banked a 1.30 second first run lead to win by .81 over Austria's Marcel Hirscher in the giant slalom at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Schladming. Legendary ski star Jean Claude Killy was the last to accomplish the feat when he won four gold in 1968.
BEAVER CREEK, CO (Dec. 5) – Despite sub-zero temperatures, Travis Ganong (Squaw Valley, CA) cranked an impressive seventh in the only Audi Birds of Prey downhill training run able to be run prior to tomorrow’s World Cup race. Both the two previously scheduled training runs were canceled due to complications with a winter storm that has blanketed the Rockies with over a foot of snow.
BEAVER CREEK, CO (Nov. 26) – The Best in the World U.S. women's speed team tested the brand new Raptor downhill course to open the Nature Valley Raptor women's race week at Beaver Creek. Tuesday marked the first of three training sessions before Friday's downhill, which will kick off the women’s Audi FIS Alpine World Cup speed season. It also marked the first full-length test of what will be the 2015 World Championships women’s speed venue.
VAL GARDENA, Italy (Dec. 21) - Five-time Olympic medalist Bode Miller (Franconia, NH) continued to build speed on the Road to Sochi with fifth Saturday in the 46th Saslong Classic downhill in Val Gardena, Italy. After falling behind in the upper gliding portion of the course, Miller found the gas pedal through the turny, rolling lower half to nearly make up a full second of time before running out of space to finish .15 off the podium.
BEAVER CREEK, CO (Dec. 8) – Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) and Bode Miller (Franconia, NH) produced a riveting one-two giant slalom finish for the U.S. Ski Team Sunday to close the Audi Birds of Prey race week in Beaver Creek. It was the first time two Americans shared the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup giant slalom podium since Miller and Daron Rahlves went one-two during the 2005 Birds of Prey giant slalom in Beaver Creek. Ligety won the race with a comfortable, second-plus margin.
SOLDEU-GRANDVALIRA, Andorra (Feb. 11) - Relentless gusting winds and blowing snow couldn't slow 16-year-old Mikaela Shiffrin (Eagle-Vail, CO) from jumping from 20th to 10th in the final run at the first Audi FIS Alpine World Cup held in Andorra.
BEAVER CREEK, CO (Dec. 2) - Bode Miller (Franconia, NH) took maximum risk, but skied a flawless run to take his 33rd career Audi FIS Alpine World Cup win on the Birds of Prey downhill in Beaver Creek by a slim .04 margin over Swiss Beat Feuz. It was an historic third win for Miller in the Birds of Prey downhill and his first at Beaver Creek since 2006 when he and teammate Daron Rahlves (Sugar Bowl, CA) went one-two. Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) was the next American in 22nd as four Americans finished in the top-30 points.
This weekend, the FIS Ski World Cup heads to Adelboden, Switzerland for the Land Rover U.S. Ski Team men with a tech series, while the women head to Altenmarkt-Zauchensee for a downhill and super-G alpine combined.
