PARK CITY, UT (May 20, 2016) – U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) Chairman Dexter Paine welcomed eight new members to the USSA Board of Directors on May 15 at its annual meeting during USSA Congress. Liz Arky, (Washington, DC), Rosie Brennan (Park City, UT), Warner Nickerson (Tilton, NH), Dylan Omlin (Truckee, CA), Bill Shiebler (Park City, UT), Tom Wallisch (Pittsburgh, PA), Andy Wirth (Squaw Valley, CA) and Tom Yaps (Brooklyn, NY) join the group of knowledgeable individuals responsible for leading the organization.

SUGARLOAF, ME (Mar. 28, 2017) – In the final race of the U.S. Alpine Championships Tuesday in Sugarloaf, Maine, Hig Roberts (Steamboat Springs, CO) edged out seven-time national champion Tim Jitloff (Reno, NV – U.S. Ski Team) for the giant slalom national title.

PARK CITY, UT (May 16, 2015) – The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) recognized accomplished athletes and leaders on Friday at the annual Chairman’s Awards Dinner during USSA Congress. Olympic and World Championship gold medal winning moguls skier Hannah Kearney (Norwich, VT) was honored by the USSA with the Beck International Award, which is awarded to the top USSA athlete in international competition. Kearney, who retired after the 2014-15 season, solidified her position as one of the best moguls skiers in U.S.

COPPER MOUNTAIN, CO (Nov. 21, 2015) – There’s no question that winter has arrived at Copper Mountain, home of the U.S. Ski Team Speed Center.

ADELBODEN, Switzerland (Jan. 12) - Audi FIS World Cup giant slalom leader Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) finally got the win that had eluded him, taking a victory on the Chuenisbrgli GS in Adelboden. Ligety claimed the win after first run leader Marcel Hirscher went out near the bottom of the second run while in the lead. Universal Sports TV will air coverage at 9 p.m. EST. Ligety will also be featured in the debut of U.S. Ski Team 36 on NBC Sunday at 3:30 p.m. EST.

VAL GARDENA, Italy (Dec. 15) - Do you believe in Steven? The Utah downhiller put a mark on his comeback returning to the site of his 2006 Audi FIS Alpine World Cup win to do it again. Steven Nyman (Sundance, UT) came out of the 39th start position to steal a victory on the foggy, snowy Saslong Classic after hours of delays. It was his second career win and fourth podium. Travis Ganong (Squaw Valley, CA) had a career best tenth.

BANSKO, Bulgaria (Feb. 26) - Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO) made up an astounding .61 deficit on the bottom half of a bumpy Bansko speed track to notch a historic 18th career super G win and pass Austrian Renate Goetschl in the women's Audi FIS Alpine World Cup tour record books.
