PARK CITY, UT (May 16, 2015) – The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) recognized accomplished athletes and leaders on Friday at the annual Chairman’s Awards Dinner during USSA Congress. Olympic and World Championship gold medal winning moguls skier Hannah Kearney (Norwich, VT) was honored by the USSA with the Beck International Award, which is awarded to the top USSA athlete in international competition. ADELBODEN, Switzerland (Jan. 12) - Audi FIS World Cup giant slalom leader Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) finally got the win that had eluded him, taking a victory on the Chuenisbrgli GS in Adelboden. Ligety claimed the win after first run leader Marcel Hirscher went out near the bottom of the second run while in the lead. Universal Sports TV will air coverage at 9 p.m. EST. Ligety will also be featured in the debut of U.S. Ski Team 36 on NBC Sunday at 3:30 p.m. EST.
