VALLNORD, Andorra (Jan. 11) – Trevor Jacob (Golden City, CA) rode to his career first snowboardcross victory Saturday in the FIS Snowboard World Cup in Vallnord, putting him in prime position to make the Olympic team with just a month before Sochi. A core of American men claimed three other spots in the top ten, and Olympic medalist Lindsey Jacobellis (Stratton Mountain, VT) took third in the women’s race with Canadian rider Dominique Maltais sealing the victory. The riders take to the hill again for another snowboardcross World Cup Sunday.

BRECKENRIDGE, CO (Jan. 10) – A potent storm brought heavy snow and limited visibility to the Sprint U.S. Grand Prix at Breckenridge, forcing a jury decision to cancel the Visa U.S. Freeskiing slopestyle skiing finals scheduled for Friday. According to FIS Freestyle rules, qualification results stand in as official results, putting local skier Bobby Brown (Breckenridge, CO) on top for the men with Keri Herman (Bloomington, MN) taking the win for the women. U.S. Ski & Snowboard has announced its U.S. Ski Team freestyle nominations for the 2017-18 season. Nominations include those active athletes who qualified based on published selection criteria in the prior season.

Each athlete accepting the nomination to the U.S. Ski Team receives world class program support, along with access to the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Center of Excellence as well as athletic benefits including elite coaching, sport science, sports medicine and high performance staff, and education opportunities.

Three U.S. resorts to host the next generation of freeskiers and snowboarders for 2024 U.S. Revolution Tour

PARK CITY, Utah (Dec. 20, 2023) – U.S. Ski & Snowboard announced the return of the U.S. Revolution Tour for the 2024 season to three world-class resorts: Copper Mountain, Colorado, Mammoth Mountain, California, and Aspen Snowmass, Colorado. The Rev Tour is an annual competition tour for up-and-coming freeskiers and snowboarders in halfpipe, slopestyle and big air.
