BIO
Kaila Kuhn, originally from Boyne City, Michigan, is an accomplished aerial skier. Prior to joining the Stifel U.S. Ski Team, she was a part of the Park City Ski & Snowboard Elite Aerial Development Program. Kaila transitioned from competitive gymnastics at 12 years old to aerials when she was invited to a recruitment camp. Throughout her career, she has achieved some remarkable accolades, including a perfect score in a NorAm competition and World Cup wins, and she became a two-time World Champion in 2025. Kaila started skiing at the young age of 18 months, and she competed in her first World Championships at just 15 years old.
Throughout the 2024-25 season, Kuhn transitioned from competing doubles to triples, a feat that not many women achieve, and this push paid off. She left the 2025 World Championships as a two-time gold medalist in aerials and the aerials team event, becoming the first aerials athlete to ever win two gold medals at a single World Championships. Her upward trajectory continued this year, where she landed back on the World Cup podium for the first time since 2021, and earned her first career win. These results punched her ticket to the 2026 Olympics, where she earned a spot to represent Team USA in the team event. The team of Kuhn, Chris Lillis and Connor Curran earned the gold medal, breaking the record for the number of gold medals earned by the U.S. at a Winter Games.
"You are the greatest project you will ever work on."
