Julia Marino (Boulder, CO) took second while rookie team member Lyman Currier (Boulder, CO) also took his career first victory in the men’s final. Nordic combined skier Bryan Fletcher is a cancer survivor whose tenacity and get-it-done outlook have taken him to the top of his sport. In 2012, Fletcher won the King’s Cup at Holmenkollen, topped the USA rankings and made regular top-10 appearances on World Cup podiums. Fletcher almost didn't make it to the world stage, though, having been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at the age of three. Fletcher underwent chemotherapy for over seven years, surviving a stroke in the process before going into remission.

PARK CITY, UT (Dec. 22) – U.S. Ski Team athlete and Westminster College student Dylan Ferguson (Amesbury, MA) led the U.S. men in second at today's Columbia Super Continental Cup. Madison Olsen (Park City, UT) took the top U.S. spot for the women in second and Allison Lee (Manchester, CT) rounded out the podium in third. The Columbia Super Continental cup drew in athletes from five different nations to put their pre season training to the test. This weekend marked the first event to the 2012-13 season. ASPEN, CO (Jan. 24) – Olympians David Wise (Reno, NV) and Maddie Bowman (S. Lake Tahoe, CA) both grabbed X Games gold at the halfpipe skiing final in Aspen Friday night, just a few weeks before the historic halfpipe skiing debut at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. It was Wise’s third-straight gold medal at X Games Aspen, while it was Bowman’s second straight. The Olympic halfpipe skiing debut is scheduled for Feb. 18 for the men and Feb. 20 for the women at the Rosa Khutor Extreme Park.
