Two-time Olympian and World Championship silver medalist Travis Ganong announces his retirement from alpine skiing after 17 years on the Stifel U.S. Alpine Ski Team. The Stifel America’s Downhill in Aspen will be his last domestic race. His final race will be in Soldeu, Andorra at World Cup Finals.
KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia (Feb. 1) - Five U.S. Ski Team women and two men qualified for sprint heats on a foggy afternoon at the Laura Cross Country Ski Center above Krasnaya Polyana outside Sochi. Kikkan Randall (Anchorage) was second fastest to lead the U.S. women while Andy Newell (Shaftsbury, VT) was sixth.

SCHLADMING, Austria (March 18) – Olympic and World Champion Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) battled a slushy Schladming slalom to finish 11th in the final race of the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup as Swede Andre Myhrer won the race to capture the discipline title. Ligety, who had four top 10s in slalom this winter finished 15th in the standings for his best slalom season since 2008.
