In early March, U.S. Ski & Snowboard President and CEO Tiger Shaw, Alpine Director Jesse Hunt, and Alpine Development Director Chip Knight hosted a video conference call with the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) and Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association (RMISA) college coaches to further discuss initiatives that are being taken to build bridges between the U.S. Ski Team, U.S. Ski & Snowboard, and collegiate ski racing programs.

The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Cross Country Sport Committee has approved a plan to restructure the cross country national racing calendar into a number of regional events for the 2020-21 season in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This decision has no bearing on NCAA competitions, which are governed separately by the NCAA. Decisions for all other U.S. Ski & Snowboard domestic event calendars will be made independently and based on an assessment of each sport’s unique set of circumstances and variables.
The U.S. Revolution Tour will continue its tradition of serving as a critical stepping stone for freeski and snowboard halfpipe, slopestyle, and big air athletes during the 2019-20 season. The Rev Tour will host three tour stops at Copper Mountain, Colo, Mammoth Mountain, Calif., and Woodward Park City, Utah.
Background Screening Notice to our Pennsylvania Participants
Beginning with the 2024-25 membership season, U.S. Ski & Snowboard implemented additional screening protocols for adult members participating in Pennsylvania.
Each year, the top athletes in the United States are named to the U.S. Ski Team, including this U.S. Nordic Combined Team. Nominations to the team come from objective selection criteria based on international rankings and head-to-head competition.
The 2023 World University Games take place January 12-22 Lake Placid, NY.
The event will feature Super-G, Giant Slalom, Slalom, Alpine Combined, and Mixed Team Parallel.
