COPPER MOUNTAIN, CO (Dec. 22) – Sixteen-year-old Ty Walker (Stowe, VT) landed the top spot for the USA with her fourth-place finish in the Paul Mitchell Slopestyle at the Sprint U.S. Grand Prix. The international field put down runs with confidence at Sunday’s FIS World Cup with Czech rider Sarka Pancochova taking the victory and Isabel Derungs and Elena Koenz of Switzerland taking second and third. The National U16 Summer Camp brings together the top U16 athletes from across the country for a week of intensive training and education as one of the first steps in the U.S. Ski & Snowboard National Development Pipeline.

COPPER MOUNTAIN, CO (Dec. 17) – Top freeskiing athletes from the USA converge at the second of five Olympic qualification events and the opening of the Visa U.S. Freeskiing Grand Prix Series Presented by The North Face, part of the Sprint U.S. Grand Prix tour, at Copper Mountain Dec. 20-21. The athletes will compete in the FIS World Cup event with a field of international athletes, while also continuing the quest for spots on the first-ever U.S. Olympic Team for halfpipe and slopestyle skiing. The Visa U.S. Freeskiing Grand Prix will air on NBC and NBCSN.
U.S. Ski and Snowboard encompass a variety of Sport Programs aimed at developing athletes to participate at the highest level of competition, all focusing on representing the United States on the international stage. In order to develop and achieve success, U.S. Ski & Snowboard provides a pipeline, criteria and support system for athletes, coaches, and officials, including supporting medical staff.
PARK CITY, UT (Oct. 13, 2016) – The best U19 and U16 racers in the country will have the opportunity to compete in a head-to-head training and racing environment as part of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association’s (USSA) National Performance Series (NPS). The USSA will host three events across the country for U19s and two events for U16s, focusing on fundamental skills in slalom, giant slalom and super G.
