COPPER MOUNTAIN, CO. (Dec. 21) – Brita Sigourney (Carmel, CA) gained ground on Maddie Bowman (S. Lake Tahoe, CA) in the U.S. Olympic qualification standings after her victory in Friday’s halfpipe final at the Visa U.S. Freeskiing Grand Prix Series presented by The North Face. Sigourney and Bowman took first and second in the FIS World Cup event with Marie Martinod of France in third. Athletes take on slopestyle on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with live streaming on www.usfreeskiing.com.

PARK CITY, UT (Jan. 18) – Lyman Currier (Boulder, CO) and Aaron Blunck (Crested Butte, CO) join David Wise (Reno, NV) on the first-ever Olympic team for halfpipe skiing after taking first and second Saturday at the Visa U.S. Freeskiing Grand Prix. Gus Kenworthy (Telluride, CO) took third in the fifth and final qualifier event. Nominations for the first-ever U.S. Olympic team for slopestyle and halfpipe skiing will be announced Saturday night.

BRECKENRIDGE, CO (Jan. 12) – David Wise (Reno, NV) clinched a nomination to the first-ever U.S. Freeskiing Olympic team Sunday with his victory in the snowy halfpipe final at the Visa U.S. Freeskiing Grand Prix presented by the North Face at Breckenridge. Adverse weather forced officials to reschedule the halfpipe final twice, but the competition commenced Sunday despite heavy snow. Canadian skier Mike Riddle landed second with French freeskier Kevin Rolland stealing the third podium spot from X Games legend Simon Dumont (Bethel, ME). Next, the Visa U.S.
PARK CITY, UT (Jan. 11) – Defending Olympic champion Hannah Kearney (Norwich, VT) took her second victory of the week in front of the huge crowd Saturday at the Visa Freestyle International FIS World Cup at Deer Valley, giving her six-straight victories on the 2002 Olympic venue. Kearney’s near-flawless run forced Yulia Galysheva of Kazakhstan into second and an ecstatic Maxime Dufour-Lapointe into third with her career first podium.
