The next generation of the world’s best freeskiers, aged 15-18, will be competing in the 2023 FIS Park and Pipe Junior World Championships in Cardrona, New Zealand, August 25 to September 5, 2023.

U.S. Freeskiing has announced its nominations for the 2016-17 season. Nominations include those active athletes who qualified based on published selection criteria in the prior season.
Each athlete accepting the nomination to U.S. Freeskiing receives world class program support, along with access to the USSA Center of Excellence, as well as athletic benefits including an elite coaching, sport science, sports medicine and high performance staff, and education opportunities.
An official team announcement will be made in the fall.

PARK CITY, UT (Sept. 19) – The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association has announced a unique partnership with Alli Sports, a division of the NBC Sports Group, to sanction its Dec. 12-15 Dew Tour iON Mountain Championships at Breckenridge, CO as a USSA event. The event, along with the four-stop Sprint U.S. Grand Prix will determine the athletes to be nominated by the USSA for the U.S. Olympic freeskiing and snowboarding team. The five competitions will be used to nominate the team for halfpipe snowboarding plus the new events of slopestyle skiing and snowboarding along with halfpipe skiing.

This year, when the Audi FIS Ski World Cup swings through America, Aspen will feature one women’s giant slalom and two slaloms—one rescheduled from Levi.
Project Gold is an invitation‑only talent identification and development camp. Invitations are extended to top‑performing development athletes who have competed at the Futures Tour, the Revolution Tour, or the USASA National Championships. Invitations are released on a rolling basis, with prequalified athletes receiving their notifications beginning in late February or early March.
