BIO

Two-time 2026 Olympic silver medalist and two-time Olympian Ben Ogden is among the most electric skiers on the cross country circuit. On Feb. 10, he took home Olympic silver in the classic sprint, the first Olympic medal won by an American man since Bill Koch in 1976 - 50 years ago. Then, just days later, won his second Olympic medal of the Games, securing his second silver in the team sprint alongside Gus Schumacher. Ogden is the most decorated American man in cross country skiing history.

Ben is ranked within the top 10 in the world for sprinting, was a two-time NCAA National Champion for the University of Vermont, has represented his country at two Olympic Winter Games and two World Championships, holds numerous top-ten results at World Cups, three World Cup podiums, one Olympic medal, and was part of the gold medal relay team at the 2019 FIS Junior World Champs, along with being a member of the 2018 silver-medal relay team that made history as the first-ever medal for the U.S. men at a World Juniors event. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Vermont.

Ben is also known for his playful, confident attitude, which makes everyone around him smile and laugh. A master of many crafts, Ben is in his element when surrounded by his workshop. He is a craftsman who enjoys tinkering with mechanics and can repair an old truck.

"I hope my medal gives the future of the sport in the U.S. a big boost. I know that Bill Koch winning his medal gave a big boost to all the young skiers who dreamed that the U.S. could be champions in cross country skiing."
