AROSA, Switzerland (March 9) – Nate Holland (Squaw Valley, CA) took his first World Cup podium of the season with a second place finish in the World Cup snowboardcross Saturday. In the finals Holland used the third jump to launch past Australia’s Alex Pullin to lead, but Pullin lurched ahead of Holland at the finish, winning by an inch or less. Faye Gulini (Salt Lake City, UT) pulled out the best U.S. women's finish with the seventh spot after winning the U.S. title at the Sprint Grand Prix at Canyons last week. Canada’s Dominique Maltais took the win for the women.

COPPER MOUNTAIN, CO (Jan. 9) – The Sprint U.S. Grand Prix opened its 17th season with slopestyle qualifiers at Copper Mountain today. The newly added Olympic sport of slopestyle snowboarding saw over 100 athletes from 37 countries at the first domestic FIS World Cup of the year and 5Star World Snowboard Tour event. Fan favorites Chas Guldemond (Reno, NV) and Eric Willett (Breckenridge, CO) both made it to finals, that takes place on Friday.
ARE, Sweden (Dec. 19) - Julia Mancuso (Squaw Valley, CA) skied a brilliant bottom section to finish 14th in Wednesday's Audi FIS Alpine World Cup giant slalom held under the lights in Are. Mikaela Shiffrin (Eagle-Vail, CO) had also made the final with the 17th fastest opening run, but hooked a gate with her right shoulder and was bounced off course. German Olympic GS champion Viktoria Rebensburg halted the four-race discipline win streak of Slovenia's Tina Maze with her first victory of the season. Maze finished third behind Anna Fenninger of Austria.

ARE, Sweden (Dec. 12, 2015) – Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO) scored her 71st World Cup victory, and her first giant slalom victory since 2013, Saturday on a wind-shortened course. Mikaela Shiffrin (Eagle-Vail, CO) did not start after sustaining a pre-race injury.
Shiffrin pulled out of the race with a possible right knee injury sustained during the morning warm up. As a precautionary measure, she is being evaluated further. She has actively engaged in talking about it on her social media.
KILLINGTON, VT (Jan. 21) – Eric Willett (Breckenridge, CO) soared to glory at the second Dew Tour stop in Killington, Vermont with a solid 91 points. With snowy conditions riders were pushed to their limits and had a great day. Tomorrow evening brings the men's halfpipe finals with Matt Ladley (Chicago, IL) who qualified first in the semi finals.

CAVTAT, Croatia – The International Ski Federation (FIS) has honored longtime U.S. Ski & Snowboard communications professional Tom Kelly with its FIS Journalist Award. Kelly was recognized for his longstanding role in the sport as a spokesperson for U.S. athletes and leadership with the FIS Public Relations and Mass Media Committee.
The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee has announced the finalists for the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame class of 2019. Olympic gold medalist and U.S. Ski & Snowboard freestyle team alumnus Jonny Moseley (Belvedere Tiburon, Calif.) is one of the 15 Olympians, nine Paralympians and three teams being considered for Hall of Fame induction.
