PARK CITY, Utah (Jan. 25) – Recreational skiers can now make turns with some of America’s greatest ski champions in a unique clinic from the U.S. Ski Team. Olympic and World Championship medalists Donna Weibrecht, Doug Lewis, Phil Mahre, Heidi Voelker, Trace Worthington and Shannon Bahrke will host this year’s "Ice Men" ski clinic at Deer Valley Resort during the 2012 Visa Freestyle International World Cup, allowing participants a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to improve their performance while receiving VIP treatment and viewing privileges during the competition.

Canadian Kaya Turkski was in a league of her own with her performance on the rails and took the women's slopestyle victory over U.S. Freeskiing's Devin Logan (W. Dover, VT) on a beautiful sunny day in Killington.

SOELDEN/OBERGURGL-HOCHGURGL, Austria (Oct. 14) – The Austrian resorts of Soelden and Obergurgl-Hochgurgl were announced as a U.S. Ski Team partner Friday afternoon during a special event in downtown Innsbruck that featured Olympic champions Bode Miller (Franconia, NH), Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO), Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) and Julia Mancuso (Squaw Valley, CA).
Nick Page took his first career win at the individual moguls FIS Freestyle World Cup in Idre Fjall, Sweden on Saturday. Page is the first U.S. man to win a moguls World Cup since Brad Wilson in 2016.
Cole McDonald also made final 2 and was fifth overall. Olivia Giaccio was the top finisher for the women, finishing just off the podium in fourth place, while Liz Lemley was fifth.
On Wednesday’s classic night slalom event in Schladming, Austria, Stifel U.S. Ski Team's Ben Ritchie knifed his way to another top 10 finish in ninth place. It was his second-ever top 10 result and also the first time an American has landed in the top 10 in the slalom since Ted Ligety in 2012.

The North American Snowsports Journalists Association - East Region has picked Patricia Mangan (Derby, NY – Holimont Race Team) and George Steffey (Lyme, NH – Stratton Mountain School) as the 2017 Don A. Metivier Golden Ski Award winners.
Since 1969, NASJA-East (formerly the Eastern Ski Writers Association) has awarded the Don A. Metivier Golden Ski Award to the most promising male and female junior alpine racers in the eastern U.S each season.
For nearly half a decade, New York City has gathered to salute the U.S. Ski Team and send America's skiers and snowboarders off onto the global circuit. This past week, nearly 20 Olympic medalists were among athletes at Gotham Hall for the 46th annual sendoff. But it was a different atmosphere this year as New York was grappling with the havoc wrought a week earlier by Hurricane Sandy -- something that wasn't lost on the USSA athletes gathered in the city.
PARK CITY, UT (Aug. 4) – U.S. Nordic Combined Ski Team veteran Todd Lodwick (Steamboat Springs, CO) locked up his career 20th U.S. Championship title as he came from behind to take the win under blistering heat at the 2013 U.S. Nordic Combined Championships in Park City, UT. After landing eighth in the jump, Lodwick made up a deficit of a minute and seven seconds to take the win while skiing the fastest cross country race. He was joined on the podium by teammates Johnny Spillane (Steamboat Springs, CO) and Taylor Fletcher (Steamboat Springs, CO).
