LENZERHEIDE, Switzerland (March 15) - Less than 24 hours before kicking out of the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup Finals start gate for the slalom battle of the ages, Mikaela Shiffrin (Eagle-Vail, CO) was honored in Lenzerheide as the Longines Rising Star, signifying the top young female racer of 2013. Shiffrin will enter Saturday's race just seven points behind overall, super G and giant slalom title winner Tina Maze of Slovenia for a winner-take-all matchup for the season-long slalom crown.

KRANJSKA GORA, Slovenia (March 11) - Will Brandenburg (Spokane, WA) laid down a blistering final run of slalom Sunday to land an Audi FIS Alpine World Cup career best sixth in Kranjska Gora as Sweden's Andre Myrer took the win. Ted Ligety (Park City, UT), who won Saturday's giant slalom by 1.61 seconds, tied for ninth to secure the Vitranc Trophy signifying the fastest racer over the two-day series.

YUZAWA NAEBA, Japan (Feb. 13, 2016) – David Chodounsky (Crested Butte, CO) was the lone U.S. finisher in 26th on another warm, springlike day at the Audi FIS Ski World Cup giant slalom Saturday.
“Whew, tough GS race today in extremely warm conditions,” Chodounsky wrote on his Instagram account. “Not the greatest race for me but still nice to be in the points!”

Each season, the New England Ski Museum presents the Golden Ski Award to the most promising male and female junior alpine racers in the eastern U.S. The awards will be presented at a reception and location to be determined at a later date.
