ASPEN, CO (Jan. 23. 2015)—It was a jam-packed day on the snowboardcross course at X Games. Beneath bluebird skies and in front of throngs of fans, the men’s and women’s snowboardcross fields raced on Friday afternoon in Aspen, Colorado. In the end, the U.S. Snowboard Team walked away with two medals—a gold in the women’s competition and a bronze in the men’s race. Standing on the X Games podium was nothing new for both medal winners. Lindsey Jacobellis (Stratton Mountain, VT) won gold in the women’s field and Nate Holland (Squaw Valley, CA) won the bronze on the men’s side.

PARK CITY, UT (Jan. 6, 2016) - Six young Americans have been nominated to the snowboarding team slated to compete in the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway, February 12-21. The International Olympic Committee’s Youth Olympic Games offers a competitive venue for young athletes to not only compete, but also participate in a Learn & Share program designed to inspire and empower youth.

The 2016 U.S. Youth Olympic Team will be formally named by the United States Olympic Committee in late January.

Lindsey Vonn stood at the top of Engiadina looking out at the expanse of Swiss alpine peaks in every direction. It was a scenario she had been a part of many times before - her seventh World Championships. Now 32 years old, the then Lindsey Kildow was just 17 when she pushed into the same start for her very first European World Cup downhill at St. Moritz in 2001. She finished 57th out of 64 starters that day.

PARK CITY, UT (April 7, 2017) — Former U.S. Ski Team coaches John “Johno” McBride and Chip White will both return to the U.S. Alpine Ski Team for the Olympic season. McBride will take over as head men’s speed coach and White will step in as head women’s speed coach, while present Men’s Head Speed Coach Alex Hoedlmoser returns to the women’s alpine speed team, specifically to support Olympic champion Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO).

As Bryan Fletcher battled for the lead at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships last March in Sweden, his mind kept racing back to that day as a 6-year-old cancer victim in Steamboat Springs when he finally convinced mom to let him ski jump. Bryan finished fifth in Falun – another milestone to go with his 2012 King’s Cup win, a 2013 World Championships team bronze and competing at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi.

As proud as he is of those accomplishments as a nordic combined athlete, it pales when he thinks of it in perspective to his being a childhood cancer survivor.

The eight year agreement was made during the first day of the hugely anticipated Outdoor Retailer summer market in Salt Lake City and marks the brand as the Team's Official Compression Supplier.

Under the new 2XU sponsorship, U.S. Ski Team, U.S. Snowboarding and U.S. Freeskiing athletes will wear 2XU Compression to train and recover.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA (April 26) – The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) announced Thursday that the U.S. Freestyle Championships will return to world-class Heavenly Mountain Resort in South Lake Tahoe for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. A spectator-friendly venue, Heavenly will play perfect host to men’s and women’s aerials, dual moguls and moguls events beginning March 29-31, 2013.

OBERHOF, Germany (Dec. 30) - Poland's Justyna Kowalczyk made a big statement in Sunday's 9k classic pursuit stage two of the Tour de Ski, posting a 41.4 second win over Norway's Therese Johaug and moving into a commanding lead in her bid for a fourth straight Tour title. Tour de Ski leader Kikkan Randall (Anchorage) was 14th and is now 1:48.3 back going into Tuesday's New Year's Day freestyle sprint where she will be among the favorites. Russia's Maxim Vylegzhanin took the win in the men's 15k. Defending Tour champ Dario Cologna of Switerland is fourth.
