SEEFELD, Austria (Jan. 17) - A pair of 17-year-old U.S. cross country skiers notched a pair of top 16 finishes Tuesday in the classic distance races at the Winter Youth Olympic Games. Middlebury College skier Heather Mooney (Peru, VT) was 13th in the 5k classic with Stratton Mountain School athlete Paddy Caldwell (Lyme Center, NH) 16th in Seefeld, site of Bill Koch's historic Olympic silver in 1976. Freestyle sprints are set for Thursday with mixed cross country and biathlon relay Friday.

Marcel Hirscher came into the race with the giant slalom globe already secured, which left the rest of the men looking for the final World Cup win of the season. 20-year-old Henrik Kristoffersen of Norway took his second World Cup win in a row, while Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) was sixth.
PARK CITY, UT (Jan. 18) – Freeskiing champion Jen Hudak, a six times X Games medalist and the face of her sport of halfpipe skiing since it burst onto the Olympic stage, is on the sidelines this weekend with a knee injury that will keep her from realizing her Olympic dream. Hudak, who had recently staged a dramatic comeback following a knee injury in 2012, suffered a new knee injury training for the first Olympic qualifier at Breckenridge.

Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club's Arielle Gold (Steamboat Springs, CO) received the silver medal for her impressive run which included a Cab 720. The Youth Olympic Games is an exciting new event for young athletes to take their talent to the world's stage.

VAIL, CO (Nov. 2) – Olympic gold medalist and three-time Audi FIS Alpine World Cup overall champion Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO) grabbed first tracks on Vail's Golden Peak Wednesday with a group of young racers from Ski & Snowboard Club Vail. Two lanes over were World Champions Bode Miller (Franconia, NH), Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) and the full men's technical team.
David Wise has been on the top of the halfpipe podium since early 2011, with a trophy case that includes the inaugural Olympic gold medal in men's ski halfpipe and a matching gold medal in halfpipe from the 2018 Games.
