SCHLADMING, Austria (Feb. 17) – The U.S. Alpine Ski Team wrapped up one of its most successful World Championships in history, leaving Schladming with the official medals title with four gold plus a bronze. The medals will bring a start advantage for the Americans as the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships head to the USA in 2015 at Vail/Beaver Creek – the first time since 1999.

U.S. Ski & Snowboard announced the extension of its partnership with Intermountain Healthcare (to be known as Intermountain Health in 2023) as its official medical provider through the 2022-23 season. Intermountain Healthcare will also serve as the title partner of the Intermountain Healthcare Freestyle International at Deer Valley Resort on Feb. 2-4, 2023.

CORTINA D'AMPEZZO, Italy (Jan. 26) - Two-time Olympian Stacey Cook (Mammoth Mountain, CA) led the U.S. Ski Team with 13th in super G Sunday, the last of four races held over four days in Cortina to close the Olympic qualification period. The U.S. Alpine Ski Team nominations to the 2014 U.S. Olympic Team will be announced at 2 p.m ET. Swiss Lara Gut won for her fifth victory of the season as weather and a tricky set forced 19 athletes off course, the highest DNF rate for women's super G all season. Universal Sports Network will broadcast the race at 11 a.m. ET.
Luke Winters charged through snowy conditions and challenging terrain to take 11th in Saturday's slalom at the Hahenkamm-Rennen in Kitzbuehel, Austria. Winters, who has fought vigorously to get into the points from the back of the pack throughout the season, was not incredibly happy with his skiing but was thankful to have finished two runs in tough conditions. Twenty-two men in the field did not finish the first run, and 11 men did not finish the second run, leaving 19 men standing in the points by the end of second run.
