VAL GARDENA, Italy (Dec. 17) - Gusty winds forced the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup jury to cancel the 50th running of the famed Saslong Classic men's downhill in Val Gardena Saturday. A brief course hold was put in place after the 17th starter followed by an extended 36 minute hold as winds swirled around the 2.2 mile course. Three more racers were allowed to start before the race was officially canceled following bib 21 with Audi Birds of Prey downhill winner Bode Miller (Franconia, NH) in the gate.

LAKE LOUISE, AB (Dec. 1) – Despite another day of flat light and a late start number, Travis Ganong (Squaw Valley, CA) powered through light snow to finish 22nd at the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup super G opener Sunday. Two-time World Cup overall champion Bode Miller (Franconia, NH) finished right behind Ganong in 23rd, while Norway’s Aksel Lund Svindal reeled in the victory. Next, the men head to Beaver Creek, CO Dec. 6-8 for the annual Audi Birds of Prey race week featuring super G, downhill and giant slalom.

SQUAW VALLEY, CA (March 23) - Two-time Olympian Megan McJames (Park City, UT) capped an outstanding week of Nature Valley U.S. Alpine Championships racing with an FIS giant slalom win at Squaw Valley. Under postcard perfect California skies, McJames won both runs to build up a 1.58 second victory over fellow Olympian Resi Stiegler (Jackson Hole, WY), who narrowly missed the U.S. Championships slalom win just a day before. Anna Marno (Steamboat Springs, CO) rounded out the top three.

KITZBUEHEL, Austria (Jan. 27) - Dartmouth grad David Chodounsky (Crested Butte, CO) remained consistent with 21st in Kitzbuehel for his fourth Audi FIS Alpine World Cup points scoring slalom of the season. World Cup overall and slalom leader Marcel Hirscher brought the crowd to a rocking crescendo as he became the first Austrian to win the Hahnenkamm slalom since 2005. German Felix Neureuther was second ahead of Croatian Ivica Kostelic, who captured the only traditional combined of the season.
CORTINA, Italy (Jan. 20) - Julia Mancuso (Squaw Valley, CA) blasted through heavy snow to finish fifth and lead three U.S. Ski Team women into the top seven as Germany's Viktoria Rebensburg picked up the win. Leanne Smith (N. Conway, NH) was sixth and Lindsey Vonn (Vail, CO) seventh.

Two-time World Cup overall champion Bode Miller (Franconia, NH) posted the top U.S. Ski Team result in 16th, while Italian Dominik Paris carved up the icy and bumpy course to take the victory. Sunday the men race a super G before returning to America for the Audi Birds of Prey race week in Beaver Creek, CO.

ADELBODEN, Switzerland (Jan. 12) – David Chodounsky (Crested Butte, CO) carved another solid pre-Olympic performance with eighth in a sunny Audi FIS Alpine World Cup slalom held in Adelboden. Tied for 13th after the opening run, the former NCAA champion skied consistently through soft rutted snow in the final run to finish one slot shy of matching his career best World Cup finish. Austrian Marcel Hirscher captured his third straight slalom win in Adelboden with the victory over Andre Myrher of Sweden. Universal Sports Network will air the race at 1 p.m. ET.
