CHAMONIX, France (Feb. 5) - Erik Fisher (Middleton, ID) landed the first Audi FIS Alpine World Cup super combined points of his career as Austrian Romed Baumann captured the final win in Chamonix. Fisher, who was 12th in both previous downhill races, finished 18th in the opening run and held onto 23rd after the slalom. Bode Miller (Franconia, NH) was among 13 racers who went out in the downhill.

SCHLADMING, Austria (Feb. 8) - Despite a significant mistake in the downhill portion of Friday's FIS Alpine Ski World Championships super combined, super G bronze medalist Julia Mancuso (Squaw Valley, CA) clicked with her best slalom performance of the season to finish eighth. Teammates Laurenne Ross (Bend, OR) was 11th and Stacey Cook 18th (Mammoth Mountain, CA) behind German Maria Hoefl-Riesch, who captured gold for her first medal of the championships. SCHLADMING, Austria (Jan. 24) - Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) battled huge ruts and continuous snowfall to finish sixth in the Schladming night slalom in front of 45,000 raucous fans as hometown hero Marcel Hirscher won. It was Ligety's best slalom finish since January of 2011 and launched him back into fourth in the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup overall standings.

LEVI, Finland (Nov. 3) - International Ski Federation officials confirmed Thursday that the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup slalom races slated for Nov. 12-13 in Levi, Finland have been canceled due to lack of snow. Three-time World Cup winner and Stifel U.S. Alpine Ski Team athlete Steven Nyman is retiring from professional alpine ski racing at 41 years old.
