The 2020-21 FIS Freeski and Snowboard World Cup events scheduled for Copper Mountain, Colo. Dec. 17-19 have been cancelled given the current, dynamic situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic in Colorado.

LAKE LOUISE, AB (Nov. 24) - Veteran U.S. Ski Team downhiller Marco Sullivan parlayed a strong training run Thursday plus two weeks of training at the U.S. Ski Team Speed Center at Copper into a third place downhill finish in the opening Audi FIS Alpine World Cup speed event of the season in Lake Louise. Starting 42nd, Sullivan hit a perfect line to tie with Austrian Klaus Kroell .64 seconds behind winner Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway.

SCHLADMING, Austria (Feb. 11) - Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) was golden again, winning the super combined for his second title at the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships. Sixth after the downhill, Ligety nailed the second fastest slalom run to take gold in Schladming.

SCHLADMING, Austria (Feb. 9) - Olympic medalist Andrew Weibrecht (Lake Placid, NY) was 22nd and teammate Steven Nyman (Sundance, UT) 25th to lead the USA in a rugged downhill at the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships in Schladming. Norway's Aksel Lund Svindal took a dominant win over Italy's Dominik Paris while France's David Poisson won bronze. The race will be broadcast on NBC at 3 p.m. ET followed by a rebroadcast on Universal Sports Network at 4:00 p.m. ET.

ADELBODEN, Switzerland (Jan. 13) - The U.S. Ski Team's David Chodounsky (Crested Butte, CO) came out with skis blazing, laying down the second fastest final run for a career best tenth in an Audi FIS Alpine World Cup slalom in Adelboden. Austria's Marcel Hirscher was the only faster skier on the second run as he took the win to extend is overall World Cup lead. Saturday's giant slalom winner Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) was 11th. The men now head over the mountain to Wengen for the fabled Lauberhorn weekend with super combined, downhill and slalom.

BORMIO, Italy (Dec. 29) - Travis Ganong (Squaw Valley, CA) delivered a gutsy run on the grueling Stelvio downhill to finish a career best seventh in Bormio. The second longest downhill on the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup tour, the Stelvio is known for its leg punishing ice and bumps while racers hit speeds of 75 mph. It was the tightest race in recent history with the top four separated by a mere .02 seconds.

VAL GARDENA, Italy (Dec. 14) - Travis Ganong led a back of the pack charge by the U.S. Ski Team in the Val Gardena super G, starting 58th and finishing 24th to lead five U.S. Ski Team athletes into the points. Ted Ligety was 25th to retain second in the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup overall standings behind race winner Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway. The men race downhill on Saturday before action shifts over the mountain to Alta Badia for Sunday's giant slalom.

VAL D'ISERE, France (Dec. 9) – World Champion Ted Ligety battled soft snow and a shortened course to finish third in the Val d'Isere giant slalom behind race winner and reigning Audi FIS Alpine World Cup overall and GS champ Marcel Hirscher of Austria. The podium kept Ligety in the World Cup GS driver's seat and eased him closer to overall leader Aksel Lund Svindal, but halted his win streak after taking the first two GS races of the season by a massive 4.81 seconds.
