LAKE LOUISE, CO (Dec. 1) - Superstar Lindsey Vonn came back from the brink of disaster to win her 55th career Audi FIS Alpine World Cup, matching the great Swiss Vreni Schneider for second in the all time wins list. Vonn, who was already .24 behind, went wide on a sweeping turn before the midway point of the course losing valuable time. But she nailed the bottom of the Lake Louise downhill to take a .52 second margin over teammate Stacey Cook and extend her win streak on the Canadian Rockies course to six. It was Cook's second career podium, matching the result of a day earlier.

LAKE LOUISE, AB (Nov. 30) – A still ailing Lindsey Vonn stormed to a 1.73 second downhill victory in foggy Lake Louise as teammate Stacey Cook  was second to climb atop the first Audi FIS Alpine World Cup podium of her career. The weather plagued race was held multiple times as fog drifted in and out. It was the 54th victory of Vonn's career and fifth straight in Lake Louise. Julia Mancuso was eighth, Laurenne Ross 11th as the best in the world U.S. women's downhill team placed four in the top 15.

LAKE LOUISE, AB (Nov. 25) – Ted Ligety led four U.S. Ski Team athletes into the points Sunday finishing fourth in the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup super G in Lake Louise, missing the podium by a mere .01. Ligety strategically skipped the downhill race and spent the week leading up to Lake Louise training at the U.S. Ski Team Speed Center at Copper Mountain. The move translated into his best super G finish since taking second three years ago and vaulted him into second in the World Cup overall standings. Norway’s Aksel Lund Svindal swept the weekend to move into the World Cup lead.

ALTA BADIA, Italy (Dec. 16) - A dominating first run from Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) set him up for a repeat win in an Audi FIS World Cup giant slalom in Alta Badia by 2.04 seconds over Austrian Marcel Hirscher. It was Ligety's 14th career GS victory, tying him for the number four all time spot with Austrians Benni Raich and Hermann Maier. The win gave the U.S. Ski Team back-to-back wins on the weekend after Steven Nyman (Sundance, UT) won the Val Gardena downhill Saturday.
