VAL DI FIEMME, Italy (Jan. 7) - Kikkan Randall (Anchorage) showed her continuing growth as a distance skier finishing 12th in the 10k classic in stage eight at the Tour de Ski. The finish dropped her two spots to eighth in the Tour, but kept her in reasonable striking distance for top four finish. Poland's Justyna Kowalczyk took a big win over Norway's Marit Bjoergen to regain the Tour lead. Norway's Eldar Roenning won the men's 20k with Swiss Dario Cologna expanding his lead over Petter Northug.

KRANJSKA GORA, Slovenia (March 9) - The Audi FIS Alpine World Cup regular season wrapped up Sunday with Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) leading the U.S. Ski Team with 16th in the Kranjska Gora slalom, one day after taking his career sixth giant slalom win at the venue. German Felix Neureuther took advantage of the spring weather and charged to his fourth World Cup win of the season to overtake Austrian Marcel Hirscher for the slalom points lead going into World Cup Finals. Only the top 25 racers in each discipline qualify for the March 12-16 finale held in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.

BEAVER CREEK, CO (Dec. 2) - Ted Ligety validated his huge opening win in Soelden five weeks ago with a huge 1.76 second victory over Austria's Marcel Hirscher in front of a roaring U.S. crowd at the Audi Birds of Prey giant slalom in Beaver Creek. Leading off the first run, Ligety took a .78 second lead and expanded it by nearly a second on the final run over live national television audience on NBC Sports Network. Ligety retained his lock on second in the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup standings, carving into the lead of Norway's Aksel Lund Svindal who was sixth.

ANTON, Austria (Jan. 12) - Alice McKennis (Glenwood Springs, CO) came out of the number four start position to pickup a career first Audi FIS Alpine World Cup win in a challenging downhill in St. Anton. McKennis led three Americans into the top six - five in the first 15 - on a dominating day for the U.S. Ski Team, becoming the ninth American to find the podium this season and the fifth winner. McKennis moved into fourth in the downhill standings, with three Americans in the top four. Action continues in St. Anton Sunday with a super G.
