WENGEN, Switzerland (Jan. 18, 2015)—It was thigh-burning, legs-shaking race at the Audi FIS Ski World Cup in Wengen, complete with crashes, screaming fans and course holds. Steven Nyman (Sundance, UT) was the top American finisher of the day, grabbing 14th place, while Hannes Reichelt from Austria took first. Competing on home turf, Beat Feuz and Carlo Janka of Switzerland rounded out the podium.

PARK CITY, UT (Oct. 21) – World Champions Kikkan Randall (Anchorage) and Jessie Diggins (Afton, MN) highlight a team of 11 athletes named to the U.S. Cross Country Ski Team for the 2013-14 season. The team was announced at the conclusion of a final two-week training camp at the USSA Center of Excellence in Park City and the newly-repaved roller ski track on the Olympic trails at nearby Soldier Hollow. The season opens Nov. 29 in Kuusamo, Finland. The 2014 Sochi Olympic Team will be selected primarily from World Cup events this season and will be named in late January.

BEAVER CREEK, CO (Dec. 7) – Super G World Champion Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) found his speed in the Audi Birds of Prey super G on Saturday finishing fifth, just one tenth of a second from the podium, in front of a roaring Beaver Creek crowd. Five-time Olympic medalist Bode Miller (Franconia, NH) made a stunning recovery to finish 14th behind winner Patrick Kueng of Switzerland. Ligety will lead the charge on Sunday as the men head back up the hill to race giant slalom, a race he has won an impressive three times. The race will air live on NBC at starting at 3:00 p.m. EST.
