The Stifel U.S. Ski Team is continuing the U.S. tour heading to Aspen, Colorado for the Stifel Aspen Winternational men’s World Cup on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 1-3 for two giant slaloms and one slalom.
On Sunday’s slalom in Wengen, Switzerland Stifel U.S. Ski Team athlete Ben Ritchie posted another strong finish in 18th.
“I was really happy with my first run, thought I skied very solid and fast from my bib,” said Ritchie
In an emotional race on Tuesday, Feb. 8, Ryan Cochran-Siegle became the fourth U.S. man to win an Olympic medal in super G in Team USA's history, taking home the silver.
Cochran-Siegle finished just four-hundredths behind gold medalist Mattias Mayer in a nail-biting run that looked nearly flawless to the naked eye. Wearing bib 14, Cochran-Siegle just hoped the time would hold. He sat 0.38 seconds before third-place finisher, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, who would go on to be the day's bronze medalist.
PARK CITY, UT (Feb. 15, 2017) – A strong and deep team of 15 rising stars – seven women and eight men – have been named to the FIS Alpine Junior World Championships Team. The team is led by defending Junior Worlds downhill champion Erik Arvidsson (Woodside, CA), who led the charge of four men in the top 10 last year – a feat that had never been before achieved. The team will represent the U.S. in re, Sweden in six events from March 8-14.
