U.S. Ski & Snowboard, as the NGB for Olympic skiing and snowboarding, is required by the IOC, USOPC, and FIS to comply with the anti-doping rules and regulations established internationally by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in its code for eligibility in these sports.
U.S. Ski & Snowboard Sports Medicine Department is headed by Robyn Hase in the role of Sr. Director of Medical Operations. The Department works with support and direction from the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Medical Committee which is comprised of Head Team Physicians for each Sport Discipline along with key Physician Specialists. The department directs overall policy and procedures governing the medical care and management of U.S. Ski & Snowboard athletes.
Injury prevention and management as well as mental health and wellnesss are important focuses of U.S. Ski & Snowboard with its national teams. The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Sports Medicine Department is a division within Athletics with its main focus to provide effective athlete medical management including health, injury prevention, acute injury, injury rehabilitation and return from injury.
SkillsQuest is a cornerstone program of the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Training Systems and designed to motivate and reward athletes in working toward and improving abilities in the key areas of emphasis. As its name implies, it represents a quest, or journey, toward success in competitive skiing and snowboarding, by focusing on skills, the critical components that make up a high-performing athlete.
The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Ski Jumping/Nordic Combined Training System provides a framework for developing ski jumpers and nordic combined skiers that is designed for long-term success and enjoyment in the sport. It defines age- and developmentally-appropriate training and competition at each phase of development for the skier.

The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Training Systems have been designed to ensure that all athletes, coaches, and parent members of U.S. Ski & Snowboard have the best possible opportunity to fulfill their athletic dreams and talent. They are based on a long-term athlete development model (LTAD) for skiers and riders that emphasize age-appropriate training and competition.
The 2026 FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships will take place in Lillehammer, Norway from March 2nd-8th, 2026.
