Criteria

Advancement through the U.S. Ski & Snowboard's Athlete development pipeline is based on tangible, objective selection criteria. At each level, from grassroots club-level events to the Olympics, athletes advance based on athletic performance in events, as well as on ranking or points lists.

Pipeline - More Information

U.S. Ski & Snowboard's "Athlete Development Pipelines" has been a cornerstone in its program design for over a decade.  During that time, pipelines were developed to illustrate how an athlete moves through the U.S. Ski & Snowboard competition system, and who is primarily responsible for the development of athletes at those different stages (clubs, divisions, U.S. Ski Team).

Pipeline

The U.S. Ski & Snowboard pipelines are intended to define the pace of development and lead program design both at the club and national level. In addition to educating parents and athletes about program design from the local level through the national team.
