2026-27 SuperTour Schedule (and US Skiing Vertical Calendar) 

The U.S. Ski and Snowboard SuperTour presented by the National Nordic Foundation is recognized by FIS as the Continental Cup for the United States—the highest level of competition in the country. The overall leader of the SuperTour after each Period is granted World Cup Start rights for the following Period of World Cup (with expenses paid by FIS). Top racers compete head-to-head in a variety of disciplines across the country, with World Cup start spots and funding on the line. 

Period 1 - Canmore and Soldier Hollow

Nordic Canada COC- Canmore Nordic Centre

December 4, 2026- Freestyle Sprint

December 5, 2026- Freestyle Interval Start 10km

December 6, 2026- Classic Interval Start 10km

Soldier Hollow SuperTour

December 11, 2026- Freestyle Sprint

December 12, 2026- Classic Interval Start 10km

December 13, 2026- Freestyle Mass Start 20km

The leader of the SuperTour after Period 1 will earn start rights in Period 2 of the World Cup- the Tour de Ski- as the Continental Cup Leader.

Period 2 - U.S. National Championships Birkie Trails, Cable, WI

January 2nd, 2027- Freestyle Interval Start 10km National Championship

January 4th, 2027- Classic Sprint National Championship

January 6th, 2027- Classic Mass Start 20km National Championship

-there is a separate 10k Freestyle Mass Start for Juniors used for WJC and U18 trip selection

January 9th, 2026- Freestyle Sprint 

 

The first three races at U.S. Nationals (including the Junior 10km Mass Start) are used to select athletes for the World Junior Championships and NNF U18 Trip. All four races will be used to select athletes for the World U23 Championships TeamPoints lists for those trip qualifications will be maintained HERE.

The leader of the SuperTour after Periods 1 and 2  will earn start rights in Period 3 of the World Cup as the Continental Cup Leader. 

Period 3 - Eastern and Central SuperTours

Lake Placid SuperTour at Mt Van Hoevenberg

January 29, 2027- Classic Sprint

January 30th, 2027- Classic Interval Start 10km

January 31st, 2027- Freestyle Mass Start 20km

Selection for World Ski Championships ends on January 31.

Craftsbury SuperTour, Craftsbury Outdoor Center

February 5, 2027- Freestyle Interval Start 7.5km

February 6, 2027- Classic Mass Start 20km

-these 2 events are combined with the UVM Carnival

February 7, 2027- Freestyle Sprint

Minneapolis SuperTour- Wirth Park

February 20th, 2027- Freestyle Sprint

February 21st, 2027- Classic Mass Start 20km

The Birkie

February 27th, 2027- The Birkie- Freestyle Mass Start 52km

The leader of the SuperTour after Periods 1, 2, and 3  will earn start rights in Period 4 of the World Cup as the Continental Cup Leader. 

Period 4 - SuperTour Finals- Fairbanks, Alaska

April 2nd, 2027- Freestyle Sprint National Championship

April 3rd, 2027- Classic Team Sprint National Championship

April 4th, 2027- Classic Mass Start 40k National Championship

The leader of the SuperTour after Periods 1, 2,  3, and 4  will earn start rights in Period 1 of the 2026-27 World Cup as the Continental Cup Leader. 

Clubs/Venues interested in hosting future National Events are asked to fill out THIS FORM.

National Events include: SuperTour in the 2027-28 season, US National Championships in 2029 or 2030, SuperTour Finals in 2028 or 2029, U.S. Junior National Championships in 2028 and beyond; or the U16 National Development Camp

If you are an athlete who has experienced inappropriate behavior or know of an athlete who has experienced inappropriate behavior, please report to the U.S. Center of SafeSport HERE or U.S. Ski & Snowboard HERE. All adult participants are mandatory reporters. Reporting violations may be made anonymously and there are no fees for reporting. We all are part of promoting a culture of safety through education, listening, and speaking up.
