U.S. Ski & Snowboard today announced the U.S. Army as the official armed forces partner of U.S. Ski & Snowboard, honoring the 10th Mountain Division’s distinguished legacy which led to the creation of America’s modern ski and snowboard industry. It is the first armed forces partnership for U.S. Ski & Snowboard.

The U.S. Army’s legacy in mountain warfare was forged during World War II when the highly trained Soldiers of its 10th Mountain Division scaled Italy’s Riva Ridge to secure a critical victory that shifted the momentum of the war. Upon returning home, many of these Soldiers founded ski resorts and ski schools nationwide that became the foundation of the American ski industry and fueled the sport's widespread popularity.

“Partnering with the U.S. Army has been in the works for a while, and goes back to a training camp in Portillo, Chile, where the soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division were training on the same mountain as our women’s alpine team,” said Sophie Goldschmidt, President and CEO of U.S. Ski & Snowboard. “Since then, we have been looking to work together to showcase the history of the 10th Mountain Division and its contributions to our sport. It is an authentic fit, knowing they were instrumental in founding the infrastructure of skiing and snowboarding in America, and built many of the resorts we ski and ride on today.” 

“Many Americans may not realize that two of their favorite winter pastimes, skiing and snowboarding, have deep roots in the U.S. Army,” said Brig. Gen. Matthew W. Braman, Army Chief Marketing Officer, who served as the Deputy Commanding General for the 10th Mountain Division from 2022-24. “We are proud to partner with U.S. Ski & Snowboard to bring awareness to the 10th Mountain Division’s achievements including the development of several Olympic athletes and a significant impact on the recreational ski industry’s culture.”

As part of the partnership, athletes will don an Army/10th Mountain Division patch on team outerwear. In addition, the U.S. Army/10th Mountain Division will invest in the U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s athlete influencer program to highlight the division’s foundation in alpine history and have a presence at the Stifel Copper Cup presented by United, an Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Nov. 27-30 and the Stifel Lake Placid Finals, a COOP FIS Cross Country World Cup, March 20-22.

The partnership takes effect immediately and the Army’s investment will be used to support the U.S. Ski & Snowboard athletes as they enter the 2025-26 season, including the Milano Cortina Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games in Italy this upcoming February.

U.S. Ski & Snowboard officially announces the 56 athletes who have accepted their nomination for the 2025-26 Hydro Flask U.S. Snowboard Team in the halfpipe, slopestyle and snowboard cross disciplines. The athletes named to the team qualified based on predetermined selection criteria. 

Hydro Flask U.S. Snowboard Team Halfpipe Team

The Hydro Flask U.S. Snowboard Team is led by two-time Olympic champion Chloe Kim, who has already pre-qualified for the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games, 2024-25 FIS Crystal Globe winner Maddie Mastro, who looks to build on her success last season, and Bea Kim, who returns to competition after an injury kept her off the snow last season. 

On the men’s side, Olympic veterans Chase Josey and Lucas Foster bring leadership and steady top-10 World Cup results to the men’s roster and are joined by young talent including the likes of 18-year-old Alessandro Barbieri, who earned his first World Cup podium last season and Levko Fedorowycz, who makes his anticipated return from a season-ending injury, to round out a roster that blends experience with promising next-generation talent.

Hydro Flask U.S. Snowboard Team Slopestyle/Big Air Team

On the men’s side, the slopestyle and big air roster features a mix of Olympic veterans and rising stars for the 2025–26 season, led by 2018 Olympic gold medalist Red Gerard, who, like Kim, has already qualified for the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympic Games. Ollie Martin makes his pro roster debut after a breakout year that included two World Championships bronze medals and a FIS World Cup slopestyle win. Olympian Sean FitzSimons looks to build on the momentum after a third-place podium performance in last season’s Visa Big Air presented by Toyota.

For the women, two-time Olympic champion Jamie Anderson makes her highly anticipated return to competition after welcoming her second child and 2022 Olympic silver medalist Julia Marino looks to build on a strong comeback season.

Hydro Flask U.S. Snowboard Team Snowboard cross Team

The dynamic blend of experienced leadership and rising talent extends to the snowboard cross women’s roster. Both returning from maternity leave, Olympians Faye Thelen and Meghan Daniel are set to return to the start gate for the first time in two years, while 18-year-old Hannah Percy makes the jump straight to the pro team in her first national team roster appearance. Olympic champion Lindsey Jacobellis of the snowboard cross team will elect to stay on maternity leave this season after welcoming her first child in July.

In his fifth Olympic cycle, Olympic gold medalist Nick Baumgartner leads a hungry men’s roster. The 43-year-old is joined by 2023-24 FIS Rookie of the Year Nathan Pare, 2022 Olympian Jake Vedder and dual sport Olympian Cody Winters, who also competes in the alpine snowboard disciplines.

The 2025-26 FIS Snowboard World Cup calendar will kick off in Secret Garden, China, Nov. 27-29, with a round of big air in Beijing, China. Snowboard cross action takes off Dec. 12-14 on the storied Cervinia course and the halfpipe squad will join the FIS circuit on home soil Dec. 17-19 for the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix in Copper Mountain, Colorado, after forgoing the Secret Garden halfpipe season opener.

U.S. Ski & Snowboard officially announced the 12 athletes who have accepted their nominations and been named to the 2025-26 Stifel U.S. Para Alpine Ski Team roster across all classifications and disciplines.

Crowley had a standout 2024-25 season, including her first World Cup podiums and a bronze medal in giant slalom at the 2025 FIS Para Alpine World Championships. 

New to the team this year is Kelsey O’Driscoll, who came onto the scene last season and made it her own, finishing top-five at World Championships. Joining her are Tyler McKenzie and Saylor O’Brien, who made a big impact on the World Cup circuit during the 2024-25 season with multiple World Cup podiums.

“After showing strong improvements last season, the team has been putting in lots of work to start the off-season to prepare for a Paralympic year,” said Erik Leirfallom, U.S. Ski & Snowboard Para Sport Director. “With new fresh faces and accomplished veterans, I am excited to see all they can accomplish.”

The 2025-26 season is set to kick off in Steinach am Brenner, Austria, Dec. 10-12, 2025. The team will make stops in Italy, Switzerland, Germany and France through February before the top athletes head to represent Team USA at the 2026 Milano Cortina Paralympic Winter Games, Mar. 6-15, 2026.

U.S. Ski & Snowboard officially announces the 37 athletes who have accepted their nomination for the 2025-26 Stifel U.S. Freeski Team in the halfpipe, slopestyle and big air disciplines. The athletes named to the team qualified based on predetermined selection criteria. 

Stifel U.S. Freeski Team Halfpipe Team

The Stifel U.S. Freeski Team halfpipe team remains similar to last season, with just one addition to the pro roster. Matt Labaugh earned his spot on the pro team after a strong 2024-25 season, which included a third place finish at the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix in Aspen. Returning to the pro team is Alex Ferreira, who has pre-qualified for the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games alongside 2025 X Games SuperPipe champion and three-time Olympic medalist Nick Goepper. Three-time Olympic medalist David Wise will also return to the pro team, alongside two-time X Games medalist Hunter Hess. For the women, Hanna Faulhaber, Svea Irving and Riley Jacobs all return on the women’s side, making the U.S. a force to be reckoned with as all three start the season ranked in the top 10. Keva Kelly makes her rookie team debut this winter after winning the 2024-25 NorAm Cup overall halfpipe title.

Stifel U.S. Freeski Team Slopestyle/Big Air Team

On the slopestyle and big air team, the veteran men’s squad all return for the season, led by Olympic medalists Alex Hall and Colby Stevenson. Hall, the defending slopestyle gold medalist, is prequalified for the 2026 Olympics. The strong women’s team is led by X Games medalists Rell Harwood and Grace Henderson and Olympian Marin Hamill. Ella Andrews makes her pro team debut after an outstanding 2024-25 season, earning her promotion. Rookies Avery Krumme and Anders Chapman joined the team this year, after the pair each had impressive 2024-25 seasons on the NorAm circuit. 

“The freeski slopestyle/big air and halfpipe teams are looking forward to this Olympic season and all the excitement that comes with the Games,” said Skogen Sprang, Stifel U.S. Freeski Team Sport Director. “With so many athletes competing for the limited Olympic team spots, it will make for a very competitive and exciting lead-up to the Olympic Winter Games. Athletes have been working hard all summer on the airbag and just completed their summer training, sharpening up their skills and working on new, creative tricks. We’re stoked to be back on snow in early November and from there it’s game on!”

The 2025-26 FIS Freeski World Cup calendar will kick off in Stubai, Austria on Nov. 21-22 with one of the best slopestyle courses in the world, while halfpipe begins in Secret Garden, China, in late November. The Stifel U.S. Freeski Team will then compete on home snow at three events, including the Visa Big Air in Steamboat Springs, CO, and the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix in both Copper Mountain, CO and Aspen, CO.

U.S. Ski & Snowboard officially announced the 30 athletes who have accepted their nominations are named to the 2025-26 Stifel U.S. Freestyle Ski Team rosters for moguls and aerials. All athletes qualified for the team based on existing freestyle moguls and aerials criteria. 

2022 Olympic silver medalist and 2025 dual moguls world champion Jaelin Kauf will lead the team into the season alongside 2025 World Championships dual moguls silver medalist Tess Johnson. On the men’s side, Nick Page finished last season ranked third overall in moguls and will guide the team throughout the season.  

The 2025-26 aerials team is headlined by 2025 mixed team aerials world champions Kaila Kuhn, Quinn Dehlinger and Chris Lillis, along with 2022 Olympic gold medalists Ashley Caldwell and Justin Schoenefeld.

Charlie Mickel is moving up to the moguls A team for the first time following a breakthrough 2024-25 season. Mickel earned multiple super finals appearances, including his first World Cup podium at the Olympic test event in Livigno, Italy, where he finished in third place. 

Additionally, there are two new athletes to watch on the moguls side. Kylie Kariotis had a standout 2024-25 season, earning her spot on the World Cup circuit and the 2025 World Championships team, where she finished fourth in dual moguls. She is joined by up-and-comer Abby McLarnon, who took bronze at the 2025 FIS Junior World Ski Championships in dual moguls and earned two podium results at the 2025 Toyota U.S. Freestyle Championships. Ashton Salwan is a new addition to the aerials rookie roster, boasting an 11th place finish at the Almaty World Cup last season and three NorAm podiums. 

“We are coming off of one of the most successful seasons in U.S. freestyle history,” said Matt Gnoza, U.S. Ski & Snowboard Freestyle Sport Director. “The athletes are working harder than ever, and our team is well-equipped heading into an Olympic season. I am excited to build on last year’s momentum and support these athletes throughout the season.”

The 2025-26 Azerbaijan FIS Freestyle World Cup season is set to kick off in Ruka, Finland, Dec. 6-7, 2025. The moguls and aerials groups then separate as they continue to compete around Europe and Asia before coming back to the U.S. for North American World Cup action in January. There will be two opportunities for U.S. freestyle fans to watch the action on home soil as aerials kick things off in Lake Placid, New York, Jan. 11-12, 2026, followed by moguls, dual moguls and aerials at the Intermountain Health Freestyle International presented by Stifel at Deer Valley, Jan. 16-18, 2026. The events in Deer Valley will serve as the final World Cup before the Olympics and the last chance for athletes to qualify for the Games. Throughout the season, 15 moguls and eight aerials World Cups are scheduled. For the full freestyle World Cup schedule, click here. 

The pinnacle of the season is the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milano Cortina, Italy. The freestyle events are scheduled to begin on Feb. 10 and conclude on Feb. 21. A maximum of four athletes per gender per sport will be selected to represent the United States on the world's greatest stage. Kauf and Dehlinger are starting the season with a different type of motivation, having earned their spots for the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games based on their results from last year.

U.S. Ski & Snowboard officially announces the 21 athletes who have formally accepted their nominations to the 2025-26 Stifel U.S. Cross Country Ski Team. The team was nominated based on pre-determined selection criteria.

The Stifel U.S. Cross Country Ski Team A Team is led by three-time Olympic medalist and seven-time World Championship medalist Jessie Diggins, two-time World Championship medalist Julia Kern and Olympians Rosie Brennan, Gus Schumacher, Ben Ogden, JC Schoonmaker and Sophia Laukli — all of whom return to the A Team for the upcoming season.

On the B Team, the women’s roster includes Kate Oldham, who makes her debut after a strong 2024-25 season that featured her first World Cup starts and several top-30 results. Dual-sport athlete Samantha “Sammy” Smith — a Division I Stanford soccer player and World Cup skier — returns, alongside 2022 Olympian, three-time NCAA champion and World Cup competitor Novie McCabe. On the men’s side, Zanden McMullen, who earned his career-first top-10 finish last season in Ruka, Finland, returns, joined by two-time 7.5k NCAA national champion John Steel Hagenbuch of Dartmouth College and Jack Young, who notched a career-best top-15 World Cup result in Davos, Switzerland, during the 2024-25 season.

The D Team features a strong roster of up-and-coming talent and experienced athletes. New to the team are Lucas Wilmot, a University of Utah athlete and Tabor Greenberg, the 2024 Youth Olympic Games skate sprint bronze medalist. Kendall Kramer returns after a strong 2024-25 season both on and off the snow, highlighted by a career-best World Cup result and an NCAA National Championship title in the 20k for the University of Alaska Fairbanks. University of Vermont athletes Haley Brewster and Fin Bailey return, along with Dartmouth’s Jack Lange, University of Alaska Anchorage’s Murphy Kimball and University of Utah alum and three-time NCAA national champion Sydney Palmer-Leger.

“The Stifel U.S. Cross Country Ski Team is very excited to be entering a season with not only the Winter Olympic Games in February but the Stifel Lake Placid Finals in Lake Placid, New York in March,” said Chris Grover, Program Director of the Stifel U.S. Cross Country Ski Team. “It’s been a very productive preparation season for the team, with excellent conditions for training and increased on-snow training opportunities with the return of the Eagle Glacier facility in Alaska. This team has so many athletes who are poised for personal bests and career-defining results. As a staff, we’ve been working on several new projects to ensure that these incredible athletes have every tool they need to succeed.”

The 2025-26 COOP FIS Cross Country World Cup will kick off in Ruka, Finland at the end of November, before continuing through Scandinavia and into the shortened Tour de Ski in Toblach and Val di Fiemme, Italy. Following the Tour de Ski, athletes will compete in two World Cup weekends leading up to the Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games, held in Val di Fiemme from Feb. 6-22. To close out an exciting season, the world will return stateside for the Stifel Lake Placid Finals, a COOP FIS World Cup, March 20-22, in Lake Placid, New York, featuring three races: a 10k classic, skate sprint and 20k skate.

U.S. Ski & Snowboard has officially announced the 49 athletes named to the Stifel U.S. Alpine Ski Team for the 2025-26 season.

Returning to the roster are some of the sport’s most accomplished names, including the winningest alpine skier of all time, two-time Olympic champion and eight-time world champion Mikaela Shiffrin, three-time Olympic medalist and 82-time World Cup winner Lindsey Vonn, 2022 Olympic super-G silver medalist Ryan Cochran-Siegle, two-time world champion Breezy Johnson, and World Championship bronze medalists Lauren Macuga and Paula Moltzan.

The upcoming 2025-26 World Cup schedule is set to be one of the most thrilling yet, featuring 20 women’s World Cups and 19 men’s World Cups on the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup calendar. The highlight of the year will be the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, Feb. 6-22, where the women will compete in Cortina, Italy and the men in Bormio, Italy.

The World Cup tour kicks off in Sölden, Austria Oct. 25-26, with the traditional opening giant slalom, before moving north to Levi, Finland for men’s and women’s slalom events. Later in the fall, North American fans will have the chance to cheer on U.S. athletes on home snow in Colorado, including the inaugural Stifel Copper Cup presented by United Airlines at Copper Mountain, Nov. 27-30 featuring both men’s and women’s races, followed by the men at the legendary Stifel Birds of Prey in Beaver Creek, Dec. 4-7.

“This is a determined group of athletes, fully prepared to compete at the highest level as we head into an Olympic season,” said U.S. Ski & Snowboard Chief of Sport Anouk Patty. “Their commitment—both in summer training at the USANA Center of Excellence powered by iFIT and on the snow—has set the stage for what promises to be an exciting season.”

U.S. Ski & Snowboard announced today that media credentials are now open for the three domestic freeski & snowboard FIS World Cup events, the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix at Aspen Snowmass, the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix at Copper Mountain and Visa Big Air presented by Toyota at Steamboat Resort. 

A cornerstone of the freeski and snowboard FIS World Cup calendar, the trio of contests will serve as crucial stops for athletes looking to qualify for the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games. The action kicks off Dec. 11-13, in Steamboat Springs for the Visa Big Air presented by Toyota and then heads south for a weekend in the Copper Mountain halfpipe at the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix, Dec. 17-20. After a quick break for the holiday season, athletes will return to the centennial state, Jan. 7-10, for another Toyota U.S. Grand Prix, this time at Aspen Snowmass, with both halfpipe and slopestyle competitions. 

Members of the media are invited to apply for accreditation to cover three of the sport’s most anticipated competitions of the season. Accredited media will have access to competition venues, athlete interview opportunities and official press events. Space is limited and credentials will be issued on a rolling basis. Early application is strongly encouraged.

Visa Big Air presented by Toyota | Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Steamboat Ski Resort is proud to host the Visa Big Air presented by Toyota from Dec. 11-13. This is the second time Steamboat has hosted this event and will be the first qualifying event for the Stifel U.S. Freeski Team and the Hydro Flask U.S. Snowboard Team ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milano Cortina. The venue is accessible on-mountain for skiers and snowboarders.

Media accreditation applications are now live at steamboat.com/mediacenter. Applications will be reviewed in the middle of November and follow-ups will be sent individually.

Toyota U.S. Grand Prix  | Copper Mountain, Colorado

Copper Mountain is excited to welcome back the world’s best skiers and riders for the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix, Dec. 17-20. As the first domestic halfpipe World Cup event of the season, the competition is a key milestone on the road to the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. One of three World Cups hosted at Copper this winter, following the Stifel Copper Cup alpine events in November, the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix offers fans the chance to watch elite athletes fine-tune their skills in Copper’s 22-foot Superpipe in Center Village.

Media accreditation for Copper’s Toyota U.S. Grand Prix is now open at CopperColorado.com. Applications will be reviewed beginning in November, with notifications sent individually. Please note that editorial and broadcast outlets will receive priority.

Toyota U.S. Grand Prix | Aspen Snowmass, Colorado

Aspen Snowmass is proud to host the 2026 Toyota U.S. Grand Prix Jan. 7-10, 2026. The event will bring the world's best freeskiers and snowboarders to compete in FIS World Cup halfpipe and slopestyle disciplines on Buttermilk’s famed course. As the final World Cup event in this discipline before the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix will serve as a pivotal final stage in qualifying athletes for the Olympic team. 

The Grand Prix event is free and open to the public. 

Media accreditation requests are now open for the 2026 Toyota U.S. Grand Prix at Aspen Snowmass. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with approvals and more information sent closer to event dates. Editorial outlets, broadcasters, and photographers are encouraged to apply, with priority given to editorial and broadcast media.
